What is Amerging Bio? +
Amerging Bio is the biomanufacturing venture of Amerging Technologies. We offer process development, pilot bioprocessing, downstream processing and contract manufacturing for food-biotechnology companies, backed by 20 years of bioreactor engineering.
What scale can you work at? +
Lab scale today through Amerging Technologies’ engineering capability. We are building towards pilot runs up to 500 L and production up to 25 KL, in stages matched to client demand. Tell us where your process needs to be and we will explain what we can support now and what is coming.
Which organisms and processes do you support? +
Our initial focus is microbial fermentation (precision and biomass fermentation) for food ingredients, proteins and enzymes. Cell-culture process development for cultivated meat is supported at development and selected pilot scale. Ask us about your specific process.
Who owns the IP developed during a project? +
Your process IP and data remain yours. Ownership is defined clearly in every agreement, and we sign an NDA before any technical discussion.
Can I start before your facility is complete? +
Yes. Discovery, feasibility studies and engineering work can start now. Founding partners also help shape the configuration of Stage 1.
Do you build equipment for our own facility? +
Yes. Through Amerging Technologies we design, manufacture, install and commission custom bioreactors, fermenters, skids and automation for clients who want to scale in-house.
Do you work with international companies? +
Yes. We support international companies developing or producing in India, with documentation suited to international clients.
How do commercial terms work? +
Depending on the model: project-based, usage-based, batch-based or contract-based. Many clients combine several.

Do you collaborate with other CMOs and CDMOs? +
Yes. We believe India’s food biomanufacturing grows stronger when CMOs and CDMOs collaborate, and we are open to jointly building that capability.
